Launching Material skin
There are a number of different launch modes as follows:
http://lmsipaddress:9000/Material - will launch Material in automatic mode or the mode chosen under Settings
http://lmsipadress:9000/Material/Desktop - will launch Material in Desktop mode
http://lmsipaddress:9000/Material/Mobile - will launch Material in Mobile mode
http://lmsipaddress:9000/Material/now-playing - will launch Material in Expanded Now Playing Mode with no queue etc
It is also possible to open the Mini Player directly using http://lmsipaddress:9000/Material/mini-player but this is best launched from within Material running in app mode
See instructions for running Material in app mode - Android / iOS / PC
Selecting start-up player
Material skin will restore the previously used player on start-up except where you set a default player for the particular browser instance - see Player Selection
To accomplish this, it stores the player's ID (its MAC address) in your browser's local storage. If you clean cookies, etc, then this setting will be cleared.
Debugging
Material skin uses LMS's JSONRPC and Cometd interfaces to send commands and receive updates. To see (some) of the messages Material skin sends, and the messages received, start Material skin as follows:
http://lmsipaddress:9000/?debug=json - JSONRPC
http://lmsipaddress:9000/?debug=cometd - Cometd
http://lmsipaddress:9000/?debug=json, cometd - Both
Launch your browser Developer Tools (usually F12) to view output.
