== Description ==

litniNG is a parent theme that strives to make child theme devlopment easy. The theme is customizable via customizer options, widget areas, menus, custom header, background and logo but it truly comes to life by using the actions and hooks coded into the theme.

== Installation ==

1. In your admin panel, go to Appearance -> Themes and click the 'Add New' button.
2. Type in litning in the search form and press the 'Enter' key on your keyboard.
3. Click on the 'Activate' button to use your new theme right away.
4. Making use of a child theme is highly recommended. There are free child themes available at https://arnoldgoodway.com/child-themes.
5. For detailed tutorials on customizing litniNG please visit https://arnoldgoodway.com.
6. Navigate to Appearance > Customize in your admin panel and customize to taste.

All images distributed with the theme are my own creation.

== Limitations ==

litniNG makes use of two custom image sizes to show featured images. 
If the theme is installed on a site that already has images uploaded these images will have to be re-sized. 
The plugin Regenerate Thumbnails by Alex Mills https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ is recommended  for this.

== Image Sizes ==

To get the most out of litniNG the following images are used:
Cutom Header: 1920 x 500px.
Custom Logo: 32 x32px.
The two custom sizes used  for featured images: (120 x 120px) and (1344 x 500px).
