Installation
============


1. unzip the german_newspaper_vx.x.x.zip file
2. load the german_newspaper folder to the wp-content/themes directory of your wordpress installation
3. log in to the admin area of your wordpress installation (/blog/wp-admin)
4. go to the menu "Design" and click on the menu point "Themes"
5. click on the "German Newspaper" theme and activate it
6. Done.



If you like you can change different theme options under the menu "Design":

1. click on the menu point "German Newspaper Options"


Theme News Images
=================
Both Images in the news header line you can change. You have to type in the url of the image locations. The images are located in a separate folder - /news-images/.

The image in the header top-left corner you can change in the style.css file - images/earth_2.gif. 


Color Settings
==============
If you like you can change the color of the outer border - I have chosen "silver" - and you can change the color of the background of the theme.


Theme Width
===========
Through this option you have the possibility to get the theme in a smaller width (800px) or bigger (1024px) displayed. Some user (notebook etc.) have a small monitor and use a 800x600 pixel resolution. For them it is more useful to activate this option to get the theme in a 800 pixel width displayed.

The default (deactivated) is 1024 pixel.


Theme Page Bar Site exclusion
=============================
If you have pages in your blog which you do not want be visible in the Page Bar in the header (above the newslist) you can type in here the id's of the sites.

The id of a page you get if you have the standard permalink structure active. Then you get the id if you go with the mouse pointer over the link of the page in the page bar.

The permalink structure you can change in the admin area under the menu "Settings/permalink".


Theme - Tab Panel Feature

it is still not implemented completely - so be careful


For your two bottom bars you can activate a tab panel. 

Then instead of the bottom bar the tab panel is displayed. For each tab you can give a title.

The content is managed similar to the other sidebars under the menu "Design/Widgets".



Theme - remove all registered widgets
=====================================
If you want deactivate or delete all registered widgets you can use this feature. 
Activate the check box and click "Update options".
